NEWS for F3J 2007
After successful season 2006 for Perfect this model came throgh some small aerodynamical and construction modifications. We concentrated on the weak points where model suffered during hard landing, we managed to reinforce these places and keeping the same weight. The actual flying weight of the mostly used and universal full 68 carbon version is 2150-2200g. At the end of last year the demand for super light Perfect increased . We developed special super light version for very weak conditions that is also full
carbon. Flying weight of this version is 1950 g. Some of competitions this year confirmed justness of this version for calm conditions. Lots of testing and measurements of performance confirmed difference comparing to standard carbon 68 version. But this version make sense only for calm no thermal conditions. WE also considered v-tail version, that's weight would be even 100g lower (1850 g of sl version and 2050-2100 g of carbon 68). But we relinquished from this idea for now because of the worse handling of all v-tail models and also because of the low demand for F3J models with v-tails in general.

30/3-1/4 Eurotour Istanbul Cup 2007
First Eurotour event 2007 is over and what a blast. It did roll over to a landing contest and it was very interresting to see what the level of launching pilots are up too. Pike Perfect had 5 out of 8 places in the finals and showed that fast launching is another thing this model is good at.

78 competitors showed up for what became a successful Eurotour F3J. Many of those were top pilots. Conditions were very difficult. Light winds changed to strong winds in gusts as a storm was coming in. But there were also calm evening rounds.

18/3 New joiner mould Pike Perfect ready
The first joiners were solid but we have now made new mould and saved 17g on each joiner. The new joiners are hollow and weighs 18g each. That is a total save on 34g. It probably sounds little but this is out in the tip and makes a difference.

2/3-06: from Philip Kolb:
I just finished the first model yesterday and put some pictures in the attachment. Dealing to fix the model was very easy, nothing unexpected, just perfect work done by samba model. The plane looks really promising and whilst the weather down here looks quite promising too (we have some 15°C, partly cloudy skies and about 6m/s Wind) the first flights will take place in a few hours. and confirms why he wins the Eurotour this year. He flew the Pike Superior X-tail all finals.

Pike Giant moulds are ready!!
The Pike Giant is a Pike Brio but with new bigger tips.
Prototype was first tested in WC F3J 2004 by Jo Grini. Jo brought home 1000points in difficult rounds when nobody flew full times. In EC F3J 2005 Jaroslav Tupec brought it for windy rounds. The model have what is needed for new F3J style flying. This means more aggressive flying yet still be able to slowly work some neutral air with huge camber. The Pike Giant have a range that makes it THE weapon for working the last of a thermal far away and be able to come home. Ballast in windy conditions is no longer needed with this model.
The weights are in the range 1900-2200 depending on layup and fuse chosen. Wingspan is 3,3m, area 64dm and airfoil used is MG-06. The spar for Pike Giant is even stronger than the one used for Pike Brio. Fuses are the same as Brio and Superior so they can be combined. This means One can choose from X-tail, V-tail and even 2-piece V-tail fuses.
The model have allready been used for success in several Nationals and European Championship F3J.

Let us introduce our firm and mainly our products.

All our models are based on our own experience but also on the experience of the pilots all over the world.
Before we make moulds and start production of a model we make a prototype and test it. As soon as we know that the model is good it is time to make the moulds. We cooperate with the top pilots in the world to get feedback. A model good enough for a world contender is a very smooth and balanced plane for you as a customer. The models we produce are the best out there and we will always take feedback to make them better.

Our firm is seated in Sebranice, Czech Republic and are a family company with a strong staff of the best workers that can be found. We all travel to the big competitions and thereby get new knowledge and ideas of things to come. You can be sure that we are always working on being that tiny edge in front of the development.

Our models are produced in a lot of shapes. Many PIKE-parts fit together so you can have a different model with the same fuse. There is a lot of options on the PIKE´s:

Wings: You can choose different lay ups- glass, carbon, double carbon - called eXtreme, or special version of PIKE Superior/Brio - light or super light. The flaps are made top bottom hinged. Bottom hinged flaps allows 90° down deflection. For better brakes a broader flaps are also available on request.

Fuselages: is made of carbon / kevlar cloth but also pure glass fiber if ordered. You can have stronger ones for slope flying or lighter for F3B or F3J. The fuse is equipped with adjustable tow hook and can hold two ballast chambers for those tough conditions. We have several different fuses available to suit the needs of you as a pilot. All fuses can be fitted to either a PIKE Superior or PIKE Brio wing.
Three main options are:
- W: Two piece V-tail fuse with removable nosecone is often preferred by the F3F pilot that wants V-tail but the easy transportation that a 2-piece V-tail offers. The tail section is very rigid and can take those hard sideslip landings on the slope.
- V: One piece V-tail fuse with canopy fuse is the lightest alternative we have and with the canopy fuse it can take some hard landings and still be aerodynamic slim. Two sizes V-tail are available to fit different type of flying.
- X: A light and very efficient tail is a key issue in aero modeling. A well built and constructed X-tail have always been preferred by modelers all over the world. We believe we have constructed an elevator/rudder fuse that not only is rigid and efficient but with linkage that is very precise and with no slop. The fuse is with canopy opening and two sizes elevator is available to fit different type of flying. The weight penalty is very little because we use the best technique available.

Accessories: All our models is delivered with ready fitted control horns on all surfaces (nuts glued in the surface) and ready fitted pushrods in the fuse.

Ballast tubes: Ballast tubes in the fuselage are standard - 1 tube for apx 500 g or 2 tubes for apx 1000 g. On request one ballast tube can also be in the wings with 500-1000g of ballast. We can off course deliver brass ballast with your model.
